The Viri Christi program teaches men how a rule of life helps a person build habits for holiness. The mission of Viri Christi is to help men attain the “full stature of Christ” (Eph. 4:13) by becoming strong in mind, body, and spirit. A man in Viri Christi devotes himself wholeheartedly to living a life of virtue and holiness as an offering to Christ our King.
Young men today are leaving our parishes and schools without the proper formation to help them navigate the challenges of the Christian life. Furthermore, Catholic parishes and schools fail to inspire young men to embrace the adventure of the Christian life and pursue a life of virtue and holiness. We must help young men become leaders in their families, parishes, and communities.
Viri Christi is a lay apostolate designed to help Catholic men raise the next generation of priests and fathers who will restore our parishes, schools, and communities. Our program is designed to help parish and school leaders:
The program consists of bi-weekly meetings where men will pray together, discuss the nature of the spiritual life, and learn practical ways to grow in faith, wisdom, and virtue. These meetings will be supplemented by weekly podcasts that explore various themes in Catholic spiritual theology. Finally, the men in Viri Christi will learn to follow a rule of life that will help them navigate the three ways of the interior life.
